Calabrese green sprouting broccoli is an Italian heirloom broccoli (Brassica oleracea) that dates back to the 1800s. It remains a reliable performer for backyard gardens, farmer’s markets, and Community Supported Agriculture shares. Profuse side shoots – more productive than the closely related Di Cicco – with succulent stems. Great for growing in the fall or spring.
