What Purple-Throated Mullein (Verbascum chaixii) may lack in stature compared to other varieties, it more than makes up for it in unique beauty. Dark, elongated yet thinner leaves, and a shorter flowering stalk to 3-4 feet with gorgeous white or yellow flowers, each one with a deep purple ‘throat.’ This rare variety is medicinally equal to its cousins. Biennial, though will flower in its first year if planted early.
90 days to leaf, 2nd year to flower/seed. Biennial.
